1. The 23½0 north latitude where the sun is imagined to halt and turn about southward is known as the Tropic of Cancer.The Tropic of cancer passes through the following states of India – Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Tripura and Mizoram.
